AOE: Short vacation to Jatiluhur, Indonesia.

The Jatiluhur Dam is a multi-purpose embankment dam on the Citarum River in West Java, Indonesia. It is located 70 km (43 mi) east of Jakarta, close to the medium-size town of PurwakartaThe dam serves several purposes including the provision of hydroelectric power generation, water supply, flood control, irrigation and aquaculture. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jatiluhur_Dam)

I and my college friends had a short vacation there on August 2014. Riding a bikes was an alternative we chose because the place is not too far from Bandung. We enjoyed the vacation even though that was not so special. Big lake and big dam amazed me after all. We took a picture everywhere we could. That was my first time to visit one of the biggest dam in Indonesia.

We had a pray first before we arrived at Jatiluhur dam.
The unique human creation beside the mosque.
We must use this road to go to Jatiluhur dam.

It is not an advertisement. It is just a picture of our motorcycle. Haha..

Found this big thing during our way to other side of Jatiluhur. I believe it belongs to PLN, Indonesian electricity company.

It feels like in Japan. Haha..
Selfie time!
Colorful boats.
Sunset view.
We witnessed some water-sport athletes were using Jatiluhur lake as their practice area. They are under West Java KONI (Indonesian National Sports Committee). That is the proof that Jatiluhur lake is not an ordinary lake.

Actually, Jatiluhur has a water-park and a place for picnic that we didn't visit. Most people have some vacation in those places. We just wanted to enjoy Jatiluhur from different side. Thank you.

AOE: Bandung's new attraction of 2014.

An unknown place that has a charm and accidentally found by someone would have a value to become a new attraction there. Further it would be diffused from mouth to mouth ubiquitous and become a famous place. It has been proven by "Tebing Karaton".

Tebing Karaton was found by a local on May 2014. "Tebing" means a canyon and "Karaton" means grandeur of nature. So, it displays a nature beauty around. You can see mountains, forests, and other views. It is a gift from God.

I and my friends experienced it on August 24, 2014. We should pass through some rural roads painstakingly before we make it. Our hard work of struggling the rural roads for almost 7 km was paid by Tebing Karaton's natural beauty. A suddenly journey felt not bad after all.

History of Tebing Karaton

The detail of my trip from Dago terminal to Tebing Karaton

Entrance fee for domestic tourist: Rp.11.000 and for international tourist: Rp.75.000
They asked me to take a pict of them so that I was gonna post it here. Hahah..
Warning to be concerned
People didn't want to waste a chance to experience this high-class view
Tebing Karaton was covered by tourist
Not only other tourist who wants to take a picture with this view, me too. LOL
Panorama around Tebing Karaton
Some people just ignored the warning that has been given by official
It's a real dangerous so, DON'T TRY THIS AT TEBING KARATON
5 of us got ourselves selfie !!
I've been 10 years in Bandung and had never thought it could have a place like this. I believe Bandung has some more natural-beauty-places like this. We just have to explore more about our own place because it potentially has some gifts from God that haven't been known yet. Thanks.
