AOE: Sunrise at Jayagiri, Indonesia.

Jayagiri is not a famous place that everyone wants to visit like mount Tangkuban Perahu, Ciwidey, or Maribaya in Bandung. This place is just known by some people otherwise it's not that far if we compare it to those 3. That makes this place good to visit.

I went there with my friends from Subang called COTAS (our community name). Actually, we have already been there twice. First, we walked at noon through ordinary people's path. And the second, we went by our motorcycles at night through the motocross' path. It's such a fool we've done that because we have no motocrosses, just ordinary motorcycle.

2 times we visit there (2010), 2 times we have a camp there, and 2 times we got a beautiful sunrise view over there. It's a great place to visit if you plan to avoid any city's noise and got a fresh air with an amazing sunrise view that make your eyes open widely.

It's great to spend our time in place like that considering it's placed in Cikole near mount Tangkuban Perahu. With a real cheap cost, we could refresh our mind. Passion and patient are something that could be useful over there. Let's just enjoy the journey. Terima kasih.

AOE: Festivals in Europe. Part France & Monaco.

Bonjoir madame & madmoasille ! Komonj sava? hehe... it's been over a week since I posted about Holland and Belgium. Actually, I planned about 1 post 1 week but I had a lot of things to do like right now I'm applying for ACC Global Leaderships in South Korea. So, I have to submit an updated-CV, a TOEFL certificate, and an essay which hampered my blogging activity. haha..

This AOE is going to continue my latest post ("AOE: Festivals in Europe. Part Holland & Belgium."). Different with Odoorn Festival in Holland, France has its own big festival called "Festival de Martigues" placed in Martigues near Marseille. KAG IV joined that festival in 2005, showed our traditional culture through dance and music (angklung), performed some of France songs with angklung, and fortunately, we got a couple standing applause. That's awesome.

During free time, we went to explore the city of Marseille and we had a trip to Monaco shortly. Sight-seeing around Monte carlo, Monaco by tourist bus is incredible. All the roads around Monte carlo are united to be a single big famous Formula one circuit. That's so impressive. We love being there even though the living cost is more expensive than Martigues. Here is our video:

I think that's all the story I've still remembered until now after 9 years haven't been there again. Maybe there are still a lot of stories I forget but let the picture tell you itself haha.. I'm out of memories of it. I hope you'all enjoy it although it's such a rush I wrote it. Merci boku, everyone !

AOE: Festivals in Europe. Part Holland & Belgium.

Hallo everyone! Here I am again with AOE section from "Pritananda's trying to create something". In this AOE, I would like to share about my first adventure to the world as that was my first time to go abroad.

Start with my senior high school which having an audition for its Indonesian cultural group to participate some festivals in Europe in 2005. With my curiosity, I involved to that audition which held at my high school. The audition had 2 stages. In the first stage, we were tested about our physical skills such as doing some traditional dances, acting, playing traditional music instruments, and so on. The second stage, we did some knowledge testing such as speaking English, doing a psychological test, etc; which later I passed through them and became a part of my school's Indonesian cultural group called "Krida Art Group 4" or "KAG 4".

After we were trained for almost a year, finally we were sent to Europe with arriving at Schipol airport in Holland on July 2005. At first, I didn't believe that I went to Europe but as soon as I arrived there, I adapted quickly.

We had an Indonesian night in Terneuzen, Holland which showed all of our cultural we have through dancing and singing with angklung. And in short story, we participated some big festivals like Festival de Martigues in France (I share it later in "AOE: Festivals in Europe part France & Monaco.") and Odoorn festival; which has dozens of participators from around the world.

Our school gave us some guest parents to stay with. We were split into 2 or 3 persons per guest parent and it gave us a real European lifestyle. We also had fun when we had no schedule.

Me and my friend, Lizadri with Rombouts family (our guest parent in Odoorn)

One more thing, we also visit Brussels, Belgium; just to had a breakfast there when we were having France-Holland trip.

I would like to thank you to God, my parent, and my school, SMAT Krida Nusantara to give me a chance to see the world, Also I'd like to thank you to my  guest parent in Odoorn, Rombouts family who treat us so well. I hope I can meet you'all again next time. It's been 9 years since I had those journey. Dank u.

AOE: 2 bikes to Pangandaran, Batu Karas, and Curug Ciwatin, Indonesia.

Halo... it's been a while since my latest post. My days were full of to-do tasks so that, I didn't have an enough time to write any post.

In this AOE, I'm gonna tell you about the experience of touring to Pangandaran beach, Batu Karas beach, and Curug Ciwatin (waterfall).

Our touring began from me and my friend who had an idea of having a cheap traveling in spending our holiday. Our first plan was to travel to Semarang by bike in 1 week, but due to our time limit, we changed it to having a trip to Pangandaran by bike in 3 days. The crew consisted of me, my colleagues; Yosep, Ama, and Santi (2 boys and 2 girls).

Began at 25th of May 2014 from Bandung, we planned to departure on 5 a.m to Pangandaran but it didn't happen as one of us woke up late. Ama woke up on 6 a.m which later made her embarass for herself. Although it's something that could mess our plan up, we didn't really take that seriously. At last we had our departure happily. We didn't go through an ordinary way but passed through South-beach way which is a suburb district.

Extraordinary girls haha..

Pray is a must everywhere we go

We went through some various extreme weathers from freakin' hot to the rain. Bring some raincoats and sandals is a must when you have some traveling or touring. When you are tired of riding a bike, switch your position with your friend or get some rest. We had a lunch and got few hours rest at Yosep's home which is in Sodong, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. We continued our journey to Pangandaran after that.

Arrived in Pangandaran on 9 p.m, we searched for a bungalow to stay and got a Rp.200.000 bungalow per night after bargaining. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 living rooms plus TV, 1 kitchen, and 1 bathroom. All those things were just ignored as we were dying due to our 15 hours-tired-trip. (Note: Pangandaran entrance fee is Rp.15.000 per bike)

Finally, We arrived here

Rent this 4-driver-bicycle to ride around Pangandaran for Rp.20.000 an hour

Arrived at East beach of Pangandaran

We just spent a short time in Pangandaran beaches. At 26th of May 2014, 11 a.m, we went away from Pangandaran and planned to visit "Green Canyon", a place where we can see a great nature view from boat. Unfortunately, the river just turned too muddy due to a big rain at the previous night and it cancelled our plan. So, we just moved forward to a real-wonderful-beach I've ever seen in Java island called Batu Karas beach. (Note: Common entrance fee is Rp.7.500 per bike but we bargained it like Rp.10.000 per 2 bikes.)

Batu Karas beach

Wonderful view to be pictured

 Got some great poses (?)

Had a back handspring to do haha..

Tried banana boat for Rp.150.000 (3 rounds). They rent surf board too for Rp.75.000 until closed.

 Banana boat armies haha..

After had a great time at Batu Karas beach, we headed to Santi's house at Cikatomas, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya to spend a night there. We had to pass through an ugly track before arrive there. That's an awesome touring experience I have.

So GREEN !!

We ended our touring at 27th of May 2014 in Bandung. It was such a great-short-holiday for us. We just spent like approximately Rp.200.000 for each person including transport fee, bungalow fee, food and drink, entrance fees, and so on; and also thanks to Yosep and Santi's family who gave us some accommodations. Actually, there were still some more experience that I haven't mentioned yet such as We had to find a periphery road to avoid a police operation due to lack of our friend's drive license, we planned to visit "Kampung Naga" (a traditional place without modernization), and many more.

That's all of my touring story to Pangandaran, Batu Karas, and Curug Ciwatin. I hope you'all enjoy it. Thank you.
